Veto
This thought came to me like a bolt of lightning this morning.
God will not in all likelihood veto our choices.
Simply because He has given us the sovereignty over our will. He gives us free rein to make that choice, ill-guided or misguided or unguided, and let us knock ourselves into the wall. We then have to bear the consequences. The price of free will.
But God did not leave us alone to handle such a precious gift. Or else it will be likened to an earthly father who gives his teenager son his first Ferrari with no special supervision. In all likelihood he will crash it. Instead, He’s provided us with His wisdom and Holy Spirit to guide us.
The Ferrari comes with a manual. So does The Will. Afterall, God possesses foreknowledge we humans lack.
