Vernal Overture
Took my solitary walk this morning. There is an unmistakable fragrance in the air heralding the arrival of Spring. The feeling (of spring) is almost palpable as I watch the trees sway and hear the leaves rustle. Strolling along the shady path, the breeze gently whisks my hair as the cool air kisses my skin. I close my eyes and inhale deeply, tuning my senses into one with nature. Nature–the love gift of a Creator to romance His creation.
Took a few pictures of the path with my V3(NUS). Trees and street lamps flank the path. Walking at night along this path, I will find darkness in the distance between the two street lamps. Is this a parallel to our life journey, that darkness is part of our journey. How do we keep ourselves on the path while in the darkness, and not lose our course wondering into a treacherous path? Just keep walking straight. Soon we will reach the other street lamp and it will lend some light to the path ahead. Darkness is the absence of light. There is no unit of measurement for darkness. How can we then fill our journey with more light? Does the darkness make our paths more adventurous? Is it like a song with high and low notes, which make it a beautiful piece of music.
After the walk, I found a quiet spot at Breko and journalled for 1.5 hr, penning down my thoughts to God. I looked up intermittenly, peering over my Journal, letting the sights catch my attention, tuning my sense of hearing to the sounds around me, with the swirls of the fragrance of Earl Grey infusing me, as I ruminate.
