beauty to revel in

i flipped my phone open this morning and that sunrise greeted me. I wasn’t particularly wowed by it. I stopped in my track just as this realisation hit me. The beauty is there for us to enjoy, to revel in. It can be right in our faces, but we can be so blind to it, caught up by busyness and life’s toil, and ignorance. Our focus are off. They are on our needs rather than God’s providence.

My Greatest Love is You (Hillsong)

Every new day
Your glory unfolds
Filling my eyes With Your treasures untold
The beauty of holiness
Brings worship anew
My greatest love is You
Call me deeper
Into Your grace
The river that flows
From the Holy Place
Wash over me
Cleansing me through
My greatest love is You

commitment

just want to be transparent. something happened this morning that made me really upset. i was already not in the best of moods. but don’t worry, i wun let it stumble me. commitment to God also takes work. dun always feel romantic all the time with God but it takes hard work when the going gets tough. love is an action. i will put love into action. it’s a lesson in commitment, i see, God. what shall i water our relationship with this morning?

I Bow My Knees

I bow my knees before your throne

I know my life is not my own

I offer up a song of praise

To bring you pleasure Lord

I seek the Giver not the gifts

My heart’s desire is to lift you

High above all earthly things

To bring you pleasure Lord

Restedness

Read somewhere that if Satan can’t slow things down he speeds it up to rob us of our rest. So that we will be too tired, too busy, have no energy to do anything else, esp enter rest with God. I want to be at rest physically, emotionally, mentally, even when the world around me is spinning.

I had a day of solitude. Feel well-rested physically. God, help me to continue to live every moment in Your moment. No hurry, just going with Your flow.
