Duke University Experiment

The Duke University conducted an experiment on rats. The aim was to measure the length of time they will stay alive in the water before they drowned. 17 seconds were all they took. The next batch was given the water treatment before they were plumped with food, and given rest and exercise. Life was dandy for 3 months. That is, before the next water treatment. This time they hung onto their dear lives for 36 hours!! Why, Ps Ed asked, the phenomenal difference. Because they had (fat) hope (pun intended). They were hanging on desperately to a hope of a better life.

What hope are you clinging onto today?
