Gems

Some gems I got from The Rock today:

Man learn to pursue a woman by yielding to God’s pursuit.

Things of the world are attractive but none truly satisfies. Only God’s love satisfies. Illusion of Hollywood lifestyle—the desire for the biggest, latest, but they don’t fulfill the god-sized void in us. It becomes a chase for nothing.

Faith has nothing to do with feelings. Believe and we shall see. Faith is based on our vision of Jesus: what we perceive is what we believe. Those who have a greater vision of Jesus have a propensity for greater happiness for He is our exceeding joy.

All we desire is found in Jesus—the deepest intimacy, the fullest satisfaction. He fulfills all desires in our heart.

A life of rest and not of toil. Made possible by the grace of God. The grace of God covers us in our lack.

Beauty

Beauty is not only a terrible thing, it is also a mysterious thing. There God and the Devil strive for mastery, and the battleground is the heart of men.

Freedom

Austrian psychiatrist Victor Franki learned of a radical situation, concentration camp,

Every freedom can be denied a man except the freedom to choose his attitude, and that suffering is not an obstacle to happiness but often the necessary means to it.

Save Bali Turtles

It was amazing looking at a turtle hover over a huge boulder underwater with us and one feeding while we watched closeup.

Sea turtle consumption in Bali has fallen each year due to the efforts of Amsler and his team, however, sea turtle populations are still diminishing. Take a few minutes to sign the petition on this website on behalf of these wondrous creatures.

More

Lord unveil Your face

As I worship You

Reveal Your majesty

Touch my heart anew

Lord unveil my eyes

To see Your glorious truths

The love You give so free

Has drawn my heart to You

I can’t help but love You more

When more and more I see

How much I mean to You

Jesus

I can’t help but want You more

When more and more I see

Your goodness unto me

I fall in love with You more and more

Patience..

In the still..

Learning how to be still and wait on the Lord sure is difficult..

My hurried heart fights to run ahead and discover the unknown.. when it will never know anyway.

The need to be certain of the unknown, for a tangible future comes in direct conflict with the Christian’s call to wait upon the Lord.

The wrestle continues and the end is not yet in sight..

Forgive me for my unbelief!

Be the strength of my heart Lord

You know what? When we run ahead and try to know what the future holds, we actually sabotage our own life. Half the excitement in this life is to see the promises and blessings of God unfold through circumstances (good ones and those seemingly bad ones). And when we realise what He is really trying to make of our lives, we will be so amazed at His goodness and His love. Uncertainty and fear is the result of one who constantly seeks to shape the future (consciously or subconsciously). Are we called to do that? Or are we called to embrace life as it is and simply walk by faith? God is always faithful.

Marking

Came back to work today and blasted 92.4 FM as I cleared ALL my marking (bane of my existence) within 4 hours. I expected to take longer like a whole day. I am surprised it actually helped! So Ps Prince was right. It fired my brain cells and I became more productively. It’s also probably due to the last 3 days of rest.
