In the still..
Learning how to be still and wait on the Lord sure is difficult..
My hurried heart fights to run ahead and discover the unknown.. when it will never know anyway.
The need to be certain of the unknown, for a tangible future comes in direct conflict with the Christian’s call to wait upon the Lord.
The wrestle continues and the end is not yet in sight..
Forgive me for my unbelief!
Be the strength of my heart Lord

You know what? When we run ahead and try to know what the future holds, we actually sabotage our own life. Half the excitement in this life is to see the promises and blessings of God unfold through circumstances (good ones and those seemingly bad ones). And when we realise what He is really trying to make of our lives, we will be so amazed at His goodness and His love. Uncertainty and fear is the result of one who constantly seeks to shape the future (consciously or subconsciously). Are we called to do that? Or are we called to embrace life as it is and simply walk by faith? God is always faithful.
